It takes just 45 minutes to cross Monaco from east to west on foot. Everything in the Principality is quite literally within walking distance! Getting around by bus. The Monaco Bus Company C. Better to take the Bus from Nice 15 Euros for seven people. But what can we do in Monaco, and what should we see? We hopped off the bus on the last Monaco bus stop and started walking back towards the city center.

As Monaco is in a steep slope, walking is the best way to get around. For that reason they have built stairs and lifts for pedestrians to get between streets on upper and lower levels on the hill. Walking in Monaco definitely takes less time than driving. So we were happy not having arrived by car.

Quite clever! The interior of Monte Carlo Casino is well decorated and there are many salons in a row for different games. It all begins with the European and American salons with table games, but to get further in the real Casino you have to pay an entrance fee and be properly dressed. We were happy to explore the entrance and the kids especially liked the doors.
This is the side door and below you will see the Casino from the sea side. The big terrace below the Casino offers great views to all Monaco and to the Mediterranean.
If the Casino interests you, this is the Monte Carlo Casino website. As we, instead, only were one day in Monaco, we decided to walk towards the Port of Monaco. The Port of Monaco is in a natural, sheltered bay between Monte Carlo and the rock of the princes of Monaco that you can in distance the many buildings. The harbor is also called Hercule Harbor. In addition Monaco has another harbor, the Fontevieille Harbor behind the rock of the princes.

The open space is modern while allowing you to savor the beautiful historical architecture around it. These famous buildings appear frequently in Hollywood movies and TV series. Try to identify famous people leaving or entering these places. Don't miss the circular fountain that features the iconic Sky Mirror at its center. You may recognize a row of twenty palm trees that are often seen in the movies.
The Boulingrins Gardens are worth your time as you make your way through Casino Square. You won't want to pass up the high-end shopping opportunities at One Monte-Carlo district. But perhaps just as much, at least by motorsport enthusiasts, the Monte Carlo Avenue is noted as the location of the Circuit de Monaco, which is part of the Formula One Grand Prix that takes place in the city each year. In May, when the local weather is most favorable for the race, the streets of Monaco are turned into a Formula One track. A good portion of it passes through Monte Carlo, including the Monte Carlo Avenue, much to the delight of the locals and multiple international fans flocking to see it up close.
One of the things that stands out about this location is its ability to handle some of the world's largest yachts. If you're looking for one of the best panoramic views to be found in Monaco, this harbor is the place to go.
